Scan to PDF

Turn document photos into organized PDF files.

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

How do you prepare document photos as a PDF?

Clear photographs in the right order form the basis of a readable scanned PDF. Searchable text may require OCR.

  1. Capture a clear document

Use good lighting and avoid shadows, glare, or cropped-off edges.

  2. Prepare the pages

Arrange the images in the correct orientation and sequence.

  3. Create a PDF in a capable tool

Review page boundaries and image quality.

  4. Apply OCR if needed

Choose the correct language and check recognized names, numbers, and text.

This guide explains the general workflow in an application that supports the operation. This version offers file selection and type/size checks; it does not generate processed output.

Frequently asked questions

Answers about the workflow, file quality, and situations you may encounter.

Does turning a photo into PDF make its text searchable?

Not by itself. OCR is needed to recognize text contained in the image.

Can tilted scans be corrected?

Capable scan tools may offer deskew and background adjustments. A clear, straight capture is the best starting point.

Should I scan in color or black and white?

Choose according to the content. Preserve meaningful color and check that fine text and lines remain readable.

Can several scanned pages form one PDF?

Capable scan workflows append pages to the same PDF. Check for missing or duplicate pages before saving.

What should I check after scanning?

Inspect page edges, orientation, and readability. If OCR was applied, review and correct recognition errors separately.

Can I complete the operation and download a file on this page?

This version supports file selection and checks of file type, size, and count. Processing is not connected, so it does not convert, edit, or generate downloads. The guide describes a workflow in an application that supports the operation.

Which file types and sizes can I select?

This tool accepts JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP file extensions. You can select up to 20 files, with a 25 MB per-file limit and 100 MB total. Checking an extension does not verify that the file contents are valid or undamaged.

Are my selected files sent to a server?

In this version, file contents are not read or uploaded. Selections stay in the tab’s memory and are cleared on refresh. File names, extensions, and sizes are used only to display and check your selection.
