Merge PDF

Bring multiple PDFs together in a single file.

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

How do you merge PDF files?

Plan the file and page order before bringing several documents together in one PDF.

  1. Prepare the documents

Check that each PDF opens and contains the pages you expect.

  2. Set the file order

Arrange the files in a tool that supports merging.

  3. Choose the required pages

Check whether entire documents or only selected pages should be included.

  4. Review the merged copy

Save a new PDF and check transitions, orientation, and the total page count.

This guide explains the general workflow in an application that supports the operation. This version offers file selection and type/size checks; it does not generate processed output.

Frequently asked questions

Answers about the workflow, file quality, and situations you may encounter.

Does file order matter when merging?

Yes. File and page arrangement determines the reading order. Check thumbnails before combining.

Can I include only some pages of a document?

Capable merging tools let you arrange individual pages. Alternatively, extract the required pages into a separate PDF first.

Can one PDF contain different page sizes?

A PDF can contain pages with different sizes. Apply a separate page-size adjustment if uniform dimensions are required.

Does merging automatically make the file smaller?

Merging and compression are separate operations. If size matters, consider compression separately and check readability.

Do I need merging just to reorder one PDF?

No. A page organizer can reorder pages within one document. Merging brings separate files together.

Can I complete the operation and download a file on this page?

This version supports file selection and checks of file type, size, and count. Processing is not connected, so it does not convert, edit, or generate downloads. The guide describes a workflow in an application that supports the operation.

Which file types and sizes can I select?

This tool accepts PDF file extensions. You can select up to 20 files, with a 25 MB per-file limit and 100 MB total. Checking an extension does not verify that the file contents are valid or undamaged.

Are my selected files sent to a server?

In this version, file contents are not read or uploaded. Selections stay in the tab’s memory and are cleared on refresh. File names, extensions, and sizes are used only to display and check your selection.
